FedEx holds Driver Appreciation cookout and Pride and Polish
FedEx Custom Critical held its third annual Cookout and Pride and Polish as part of its celebration for National Truck Driver Appreciation Week. The event was the first of several celebrations the company is hosting for its owner operators and their drivers this week.
“Our fleet is on the road working hard all year,†said Jason Frederick, director of Operations. “And to our customers, our fleet is the face of FedEx Custom Critical – they make this business possible. So these events are just a fun way for us to say thanks for everything they do.â€
One of the focal points of the Sunday’s events was the Pride and Polish competition. The first- and second-place finishers in each class received an award certificate, gift card and four weeks of free C-Link service. In addition, all first-place finishers received trophies. The winners in each class are listed below:
Tractor
1st -- Sidney White (owner), driven by Greg Henline
2nd -- Enrique Moure (owner), driven by Chris Blatnik
Straight Truck
1st -- Bill and Carla Sturgis
2nd -- Jim and Mary King
Cargo Van
1st -- Alvin B. Dickerson
2nd -- Jim Godwin
The company’s celebrations continue this week, and they are open to all FedEx Custom Critical owner operators, their drivers, their families and anyone interested in joining the FedEx Custom Critical fleet. They will host stops at the following locations:
