Diesel continues decline, falls to $2.186
The weekly retail on-highway diesel price for Monday dropped
33 cents a gallon to $2.186 a gallon this week, according to the Energy
Information Administration.
The price, posted today, but actually the average for Monday, Feb. 16, was delayed because of the President’s Day holiday.
Monday’s price reflects a drop of $1.210 per gallon from the same week last year.
All regions and California showed a decrease in average prices
with the New England region topping the chart at $2.559 per gallon. The
Gulf Coast was the least expensive at $2.133 per gallon.
California’s price per gallon was $2.262, down 0.7 cents from last week, and it fell $1.249 per gallon from the same week last year.
