Bolt Express welcomes new Executive Team members
Bolt Express has announced the recent addition of Guy Sanderson and
Chuck King to their Executive Management team. Guy Sanderson, the
Chief Operating Officer has responsibility for all operating groups
within the new Enterprise of Transportation Services, while King has
been named President of Bolt Express Truckload and Bolt Logistics.

footprint continues its rapid organic growth and expansion of service
offering to our customers. To maintain our quality service in all of
our offerings, we decided it was time to hire a Chief Operation Officer
in order continue meeting our customers service expectations."
"Guy Sanderson joined our company as COO and brings a strong background
in Operations and Information Management. We are excited about the
operational direction the company is taking with Technology and
Customer Service initiatives.â€
He continues, “Bolt Express also launched in 2008, Bolt Express
Truckload an operation focused on dedicated truckload lanes and Bolt
Logistics a current entity which will be refocused on 3PL services and
transportation brokerage. Chuck King joined us as President of these
two entities and brings a wealth of experience in logistic services and
truckload management.â€
Sanderson possesses a Bachelors degree in Business Management from
Clarkson University in New York. He joins the Bolt Express team after a
successful and varied 9 year term at National Logistics where he
provided leadership over the following functions; Project Management,
Business Analysis/Solutions, Software Development and Operations.
As the Director of Business Solutions, Sanderson’s team coordinated the
rapid expansion of NLM products and services including the introduction
of Air Charter, Truckload and DTD Mexico services.
Sanderson emphasizes the need for quality to be achieved through a
commitment to continuous improvement. “We are building an operating
model that delivers a quality service and can respond quickly to
changing customer needs and market conditions. My focus for each of our
operating groups is the same – I need our drivers, employees, partner
carriers, and customers to all enjoy the Bolt Experience.â€
Prior to NLM, Sanderson also served as the General Manager for Toyota
Operations (Exel Logistics) and Daimler Chrysler Logistics Account
Manager (Chep USA).
Chuck King's background includes his recent assignments as the Director
of Product Development and Strategic Partnerships at NLM. In this
role, King identified, evaluated and implemented various service
providers to expand NLM’s footprint in the areas of Mexico border
operations, finished vehicles, order optimization, network design and
warehousing.
His first assignment at NLM was as Director of Carrier Management where
he architected a best-in-class partner carrier program. His proactive
event management solution- to ensure timely shipment status updates
from partner carriers included:
• Electronic POD document scanning and online retrieval capabilities
• Online (paperless) settlement
• Online Business Intelligence tools for capacity planning and a dynamic service scorecard
• Integration with Partner Carriers for real time information
Prior to NLM, King also served as Transportation Manager for BAX
Global, Sr. Logistics Manager for Ryder and also functioned as a part
owner and managed the operations of a T/L service provider.
As for their new roles with Bolt Express Chuck King believes, “Our
challenge will be to ensure that we have an effective cross functional
plan to coordinate the changes necessary to support our new
products/services.â€
King adds, “I have been very impressed by the level of energy and
