Wednesday, February 8th, 2012 --Ben Bauman (Owner/CEO of Bolt Express) has completed the acquisition of Strike Logistics and the formation of Bolt Holdings.  Bolt Holdings is a shared services model that will provide back office support to Bauman’s two operating groups: Bolt Express and the newly acquired Strike Logistics.

With a common commitment to quality and service, Bauman’s two companies provide different transportation solutions to their customers.  Strike Logistics provides freight brokerage services throughout the US, Canada and Mexico. Strike services include TL, LTL, Flatbed and Intermodal. Bolt Express offers their customers a one call solution for time critical transportation services including ground expedite, air charter and air freight forwarding. Bolt has realized 270% growth over the past 2 years and was recently recognized as one of the fastest growing companies in the US.

Bolt Holdings was designed to support future acquisitions as well as organic growth for each operating group.

“Our processes and systems have been engineered so we have the option of running a newly acquired company independently, or we can quickly integrate it in to one of the existing operating groups. This type of flexibility supports our aggressive plans for growth."    ~Ben Bauman

Headquartered in Toledo OH, Bolt Express was founded in 2001. The Executive Management Team and all back office support personnel have relocated to the new Bolt Holdings headquarters in Sylvania, Ohio.
