World Wide Apology

I'm Sorry.
Looking back on my last message, I can see my mistake and I am truely sorry.
I burst into the room (the forum) and announce that the world is not going the way I wanted it to and I am not being treated fairly and would somone please stop what they are doing and fix it NOW!
Like a spoiled rotten child.
That was not my intent.

I listened to what you had to say, and I did what you said.
I read. And then I read some more, and more and more and more.

I now know the difference between a forum and a blog.
I know what a monitor is,..now.
I read about the Freedom of the Road and Market Forces
I read about fuel surcharges, about escrow.
I learned the difference between a shipper, broker, carrier.
I learned about the difference between a "C" unit straight truck and a "D" unit.
I learned what a T-VAL is.
I read about: truck payments and fuel sur-charges, tolls,
satellite equipment, insurance, cell phones, truck repairs.
And I must say THANK YOU,
I realize I have aquite a bit of work to do before I am ready.
I have to get a business plan together first along with my budjet and stick to it.
Here's what I really learned on ths journey, and I like to share, I'm sure,.. if I'm wrong someone will correct me. I do not want to be just a driver passing on information I heard somewhere.

When you fail a drug test, your company, DOES NOT have to keep you.

The DOT comes along and says: So, you failed a drug test,... would you like to keep your license?
And you say in your best voice "Oh yes, please"
And they say "OK, you will go to this particular counsler(DOT Program) and you will do what they say for as long as they say and you will pay all of the costs.

This is totally seperate from your company.

This is the DOT "Return to Work Program".

When it is all said and done, NO your company does not have to take you back.

So, why take the course and pay out all that money you ask??

Because if you don't, the DOT takes your licence from you and then you have to go back and get it all over again.
If you think it's hard to find a job, with a liscence, try it without one.

This program is not connected to your employer, or the DMV.

Now, when you are done with this program, they simply say thank you and good luck.
And just another reminder, NO, the company does not have to take you back.
This is not not military and you were not drafted.
(I've heard from so many people saying "It's the law, thay have to take you back!")

Take note and guard your CDL like it was gold. And don't put things on the internet you wouldn't want your mother to read.

On a lighter note, I like the way you all handle yourselves.
You can ride shot-gun with me anytime.
Thanks for your help, your advise, your love.
love and kisses
