Anyone have information on cargo van load availability in Dallas/ Ft Worth and loads to get back to that area?

Basically None.....Zero.....Zilch.
Some of the Big Name Expediting Companies may have Customers here that will get their Contract Drivers out of the DFW area every now and then.......but if you're looking for a Company that is based out of here running loaded Cargo Vans and who has a customer base to get Cargo Van loads heading back into the DFW area (Say running to OKC loaded and an OKC load back to Dallas).........Forget about it. I looked and looked in Vain several years back for such a Company......
NOT saying Cargo Van Loads are not available here.........but we're not really in an "Expedited" part of the country. "Hot Shot" Cargo Van loads are common in the Courier Companies down here......but no Courier Company really hires Drivers that run Out of Town Only. They'll give those higher paying loads to the Contract Drivers that kiss the Dispatchers Butts the most.....are sleeping with the owners Daughter........or the Brother of the Drivers Managers Sister-In Law. And.....there's probably 350-400 different Courier Companies all throughout our area here that have the market so saturated that just about every major company here that uses Courier Services probably have a dozen or so of 'em on their speed dial at all times. With that said......Rates are absolutely ridiculous for anyone to try to get out on their own to compete with what little work there is for what you are wanting to do.
