Hey get this, Detroit is using some new law from Lansing to curtail commercial advertising of strip clubs. It seems that those racy, covered models on those bill boards on the strip clubs is too much for them in Detroit. So listening to the interview with the state senator who pushed the bill through Tupac Davis, it occurred to me that first anyone who has the same name as a rapper who didn't take too kindly to society, may not be the best one to attack one of two successful industries in the entire region - casinos being the first.

Speaking of casinos, there is a serious problem with the population level of Detroit and the casino licenses. It seems the law, which was passed by the people, has a safeguard in it. When the population dips below 800k or somewhere around that number, the licenses become invalid. ALL I have heard was not the idea of the casinos helping boost the population or coming up with ways to help the city (which they haven't yet) but how much money the city will lose if they are shut down. I personally think they should be shut down if the city can't meet the requirement that the ENTIRE state voted on for them and especially when the casinos fought the proposal to allow race tracks to have slot machines.

From what I have heard, because the license was issued when the population was at the specifed level, the license remains valid.

I could be wrong though, that has happened before (ask my wife).

I just got rid of the other 5 someone else sent me and one was ripe and had little PMs, so I ended up with 10 of them running around my hard drive. You know unless they are house broken, they don't use the litter box in the computer AND I have to clean up the place ... still smell PM poop somewhere, maybe one got into the DVD recorder.

You aren't kidding about West Michigan. Being born, raised and still living in the greater Flint area, I was totally taken aback by the St. Joseph, MI area a couple of months ago...no gunshots...no sirens...just the sound of Lake Michigan lapping at the shore.
