This is a thread that has probably been posted before in the archives but What is your favorite truck stop or layover area? Do you have a favorite campground? I was recently in Virginia last week and found a nice campground on the beach by Ft. Story off of state route 60 called First Landing State Park. only 24.15$ to get a primitive site and you can drive a van right onto the site. also ample stores nearby to get food or other immenities. I highly recomend this site for any sightseers out there. Also at nearby Ft. Story, Va (military base) there is a historic lighthouse that you can visit and Virginia Beach is only 6 miles down the road. The campground was relatively quiet and you could walk to the beach.
