Laidover in Ontario, CA for the 4th of July we rented a car and headed to Newport Beach on a whale watching excursion! And, while we weren't fortunate enough to sight any whales, we did run across a large pod of common dolphins and some California sea lions basking in the sun piled on a bouy. It was well worth the car rental cost and the $30/person fee.
We are already looking forward to our next visit in search of the illusive whales!
