Lately I have noticed that theres no where near as many Expediter Vans on the road as I used to see a couple years ago. The Truck stops used to have 6-10 in them all the time. Now I only see 2-4 at any givin time. Are Vans Giving way to Straight Trucks? Just wondering. Drive Safely...Butch :) :) :)

There is certainly less of them. Many companies have slowed or stopped putting them on. That trend will most likely continue until freight volumes increase.
As far as giving way to straight trucks?
Certainly as the ST's are more versatile.
But a large majority based on recent posts suggest that many are running slow for this time of year.
Most companies are too overpopulated with trucks verses the current amount of available freight.

However most of the new questions coming into the forums are van related. it seems like everyone wants to drive a van vs a straight truck. I don't see how a owner of a van can employ a driver for that van and both individuals make a living wage.

Wow, that is no joke! I can remeber about 6 years ago when the detroiter truck stop's entire parking lot was full of vans, like 50+ vans
Now maybe a dozen or so at most.
