08 sprinter, 200k. I've been able to hang meat in the sprinter the AC has been blowing so cold. No issues at all. Get up this morning and boom just hot air. I know everyone will have their speculation But since I had no forewarns of any signals of AC possibly going on what could've went bump in the night in my van? Help, hot.

Our truck just suddenly stopped the other day, had been working great until then and ours was the expansion valve.

I would check the condenser, check for a split hose, that the wires are not disconnected/bad, and make sure the clutch on the compressor is engaging. Other than that as pandora said it could be an expansion valve or potential issue with the air dryer going bad and clogging the whole system up.

Check the easy things first.
Is the compressor cycling on and off? (open the hood and look/listen for it) Also check the belt while you're there.
Check the AC fuse. In fact pull it and put it back in to make sure there was good contact.

Cycle through all the settings on the dash, just to see if something is stuck.

Good luck
