UBER FREIGHT EXPANDING

It might nibble away at the fringes. But if there's too many "incidents" with broken down old Penske cubes not completing delivery, it would give Uber a bad name. If they're very strict about what equipment they'll sign, then they'll have to charge decent rates as well. Nobody's going to put a new $35K van out there for .60 a mile.

between Uber and Uship...there goes the neighbourhood

Uship  I think they are only going in the wrong direction, the innovation team hasn't done anything to their fullest potential. Its all based on volume when you're on that level, carriers are just ants to them that move around. They have no clue on downtime or lost productivity or empty trucks. I earn 1/4 - 1/3 of what the in house salaries pay. The time between loads are weeks sometimes months. Been there done that doing that, the only thing from keeping me from quitting or scaling back is the cost of a new Sprinter.
