The Ryder Cup is finally back on this side of the pond. What an exciting day to be an American golf fan, and the players provided no shortage of story lines to follow. The brash, confident youngster Anthony Kim totally pummels Sergio Garcia in the day's first match. Kentucky natives Kenny Perry and J. B. Holmes gave the Louisville crowd plenty to cheer about. The veteran Perry put a ton of pressure on himself by saying that this tournament would define his career, then acquits himself very well.
The list of stories goes on, but suffice it to say that if you're a golf fan it was a great day to spend 6 hours in front of the TV. Unless, of course, you have to load at 2300. But, it's only a 325 mile run, so I think I can tough it out.
