Trafficking in wildlife critters

I read a front-page story, yesterday, in the Lexington Herald newspaper about a criminal ring arrested for trafficking in the sale of wild animals. Seems these guys were buying and selling coyotes and foxes. They were being sold to private individuals and hunting clubs so their hounds could chase them. In Kentucky, it is legal to hunt and kill these animals without permit. However, it is not legal to buy or sell wildlife animals. Other states involved were Virginia, Tennessee and North Carolina.

If the police wanted to bust a really big enterprise, they would crackdown on the illegal rooster-fighting in Appalachia. It is a massive underground operation that would make the mafia proud.

This is a very serious problem. Many years some southern good ole boys were live trapping racoons and shipping them up to PA so some nothern good ole boys could chase them. It started a major rabies outbreak in PA. They should just hand those guys if they catch em. Layoutshooter
