Timing for scans to our system...a mandatory process

We have had the time that the Qualcomm system looks for Wi-Fi signal for scans.

When a driver scans their paperwork the system will hold the images; looking for a Wi-Fi signal. If an open Wi-Fi signal was found then the system would send the documents through to the Qualcomm database. If during the search it found nothing then the documents would be sent through terrestrial communication (cell communications). The images would then be captured from Qualcomm to the Sylectus system then to our system.

Previously we had the system set up to look for Wi-Fi for 6 hours before sending the images. We have now changed that time to only 1 hour.

Hopefully now when the drivers scan the system will only hold them for an hour before uploading them to the Qualcomm database; which should cut down the time it takes for the images to get to us.

Drivers, as a reminder; scanning is not an optional item within every shipment. Scanning the paperwork is a mandatory step the must be done after receiving a signature of reciept (proof of delivery). Remember to scan at the end of every shipment and make it is a step in your process to scan before heading off to the next shipment.
