Can someone tell me the good and bad about this company. We will be running team. Would like to stay out 14 to 21 days. What should we expect to run in revunue for this kind of schedule? When we come home we will stay 5 to 7 days is this a problem with them? Is 200K yearly possible with them as stated by the person I talked to? How are they on pay on time? Well this is a start you responses are welcome them being either good or bad
Thanks

I live in Kentucky between I-65 and Hwy. 41 South of 64 and North of 24. I would like to work between 45 & 47 weeks per year.

I live just south of Owensboro, Kentucky.
No more than an hour from the above interstates.
We will stay out if the freight is there. But there comes a time we all must go home.

All I will say is that while I have only been with the company one month - they can keep you busy if you wish. Weekends have been solid with load offers as well. Keep in mind, at least in my mindset, you have to really understand how to run your 14-hour day or you will loose out of revenue potential - as I have done over the last few weeks. But, that would be with any company - just be organized when you go out, not waiting to get reorganized like I am doing this weekend. Panther has the loads, I believe they are the best company to work for, at least that has been the case for me. Can you make 200,000 - I think someone can if they are willing to push themselves, be wiling to give up some common things - like always coming home, sitting to enjoy 'the view', and like I said work the 14-hour days.
You will get out of Panther what you put into it - if you want to work your tail off they will give you the load offers - IF you perform well (94-100% on time delivery, etc). I am very happy at Panther, pleased with their load offers, pay, pay schedules, etc. I will not put down any of the other companies, they all have their upsides and downsides - all I know is that if someone would ask me if Panther is a good company to work with, all I can say is that for me they have been a very professional and plesant experience.

I appreciate your comments. We are a team my son and I, he has two daughters at home. We are both workers. I sold my Tractor/trailer a couple of years ago and decided to get back in. I will probably lease on to either Panther or one of the other companies in about two weeks. I have a freind who has two trucks on at Tri-State and he has been trying to get me to go there but, the truck I bought has already got all the Panther signs and qualcom on it which means less start up cost. Anyway thanks for the comments hope to see you out there soon.

I think it is possible, but not what I would say in reflective of a company average. As a fleet, our smallest straight did $160,000 on 252 days available service. Keep in mind that they didn't have a run all 252 days.
I think to get to that number, numerous things have to happen. One of the major ones is staying available, and not making hometime a priority. If you do, it will be relected in numbers below your projected target. I would also question that number for someone new. You will make numerous mistakes or miscalculations that will affect that number.
Like I said, possible, but not probable.

Right on Dave!
Like I said, even though I have only been with Panther for a month, it is more my mistakes than anything that is limiting my income goals.
The biggest thing that anyone can do, at least I believe, is to be well prepared and organized prior to hitting the road. Sure have your supplies and what not, but be organized and quick on your feet when it comes to using all 14-hours of your day to its' limit.
Know what you can and can not do to pick up the load on time, drop it off on time, and then get yourself positioned to take that next load at quickly as possible and know how many hours you have to work with.
Know what your plan is for the day, for the next day, for the week and so on down the road. You can not reach your yearly goal if you do not have a daily goal!

Thanks guys for the help, your comments are appreciated. I know you get out of anything what you put into it. I surely know there will be mistakes along the way. I will learn from them take my punches and go on. One thing I have learned in life is the harder I work the luckier I get. Hope to see you and buy you both a cup someday. I will post my truck number once leased on. Again thank you for you comments.

Thank you

We drive t/t and grossed over 200,000 as a team without working to hard at it. 160,000 all miles for the year. (empty, personal and loaded miles)We stay our 4 to 6 wks at a time. Go home for 5 to 14 days at a time. Panther has been a good fit for us. Good luck and if you need any help or questions answered feel free to Email me with your question or phone number will be happy to call you back and help you out.

babs3361:
Thanks for the information. It's great to hear from someone who is doing what we have planned to do. The schedule you are on will closely fit what we want to do. My son has to teenage girls so he will determine when it's time for dad to go home. Looking forward to getting started. Look's like the first or second week in May. Anyway without further rambling you guys have a great day.
Thanks Again\
