The union scam

I heard about a week ago that the house is going to vote on the “Employee Free Choice Actâ€, which on the surface sounds like a good thing but regardless how you look at it, it is a very bad thing.

I know how this all works and what laws are to followed, many times the union (UAW is really bad about this) lie and ‘cheat’ when it comes to getting a union established in a company but the push for this law allows more abuse than ever before.

See for those who do not know, there is a process that is fair that takes place. The first thing is to sign authorization cards to get it rolling. In some cases the company accepts this and moves forward by allowing the union to be established. But if the union is rejected by the company, then a secret vote takes place in where the company can not stop it – even though in some cases they try.

Now the “Employee Free Choice Act†eliminates the secret vote and forces the company to accept the union on the basis of the authorization cards alone. Sorry you pro-union people, this is a scam and with the abuse I saw (vote fixing, collusion and cronyism) when I breifly work at the UAW. This act shows the desperation of the unions to force their way into a company.

Now just to remind the pro-union people, the dems are the ones who are pushing this as a reward for the unions - it also was a democrat president who signed NAFTA. It will essentially force another reaction from many of the companies out there who do not believe in unionizing their workforce, mainly the movement from the US to another country – sound familiar? I know of one company that will take their entire production overseas if they have to deal with this, which means that 185 people will lose their job because of the need to eliminate a practice that has worked for more than 75 years.
