the truth about Industrial Wind Energy

Very interesting but I don't see anything here about the studies now underway in Norway on the possible down sides of wind power. There is growing concerns that the offshore wind farms are changing the direction that ocean currents flow and that change MIGHT be a contributing factor to the melting of the ice caps on the Atlantic side. There are also studies starting in Kansas looking into the effects of removing all of that energy from the environment. There is concerns about the possible effects on world wide weather patterns. There is no free ride. Every form of electric generation has down sides. Some may be worse than others. There is no silver bullet, we will most likely need all forms of generation for the forseeable future. Wind farms can interfere with waterfowl migration. The construction of those farms do severe damage to large tracts of wildlife habitat. The environment is more than just global warming. It is wetlands, farm lands, clean water, etc. We can have it all. We just need to slow down just a tad and do it right once and for all. I fear we are just having a knee jerk reaction to things and rushing headlong into what some see as a quick fix solution. That is what got us into the mess we are in. We cannot afford to do it again.
