Because his lies and hypocrisy are easily demonstrable, and they LOVE how the Republican party defends this guy and keeps him seated as one of their elected officials. It's a delightful campaign bonus for every Democrat who will run against a Republican US House incumbent in 2024. For the Democrats, Santos and the Republican decision to keep him seated is a gift that keeps on giving.

One has to look no further than former House Intel Committee Adam Schiff and his repeated lies about the Trump-Russia collusion hoax to find the gold standard of lying politicians. The entire party supported this false narrative for years until it was exposed as compete fiction. An insignificant worm like George Santos pales in comparison.

I think you're right. Massive blunder by Democrats to lose this seat. They failed to do opposition research, or if they did do it, they failed to use it. Also, several blue US House seats flipped to red partly, if not mostly, because of New York's truly stupid policy of releasing offenders instead if keeping them in jail after their arrests. Something about reforming the cash bail system. Well, the voters had enough of that stupidity, and that is the reason Democrats lost not only the New York seats but control of the US House as well. Had NY blue seats stayed blue, the Republicans would not have the razor-thin majority they have today.
That may be, but that matters little to the Democrats. The more the Republicans fight to keep Santos seated, the more the Democrats love the leverage that provides. The Santos gift that keeps on giving more than offsets any concerns the Democrats have about being called hypocrites; especially when Santos' hypocrisy is soooo blatant and soooo obvious and soooo easy to portray; and when the entire Republican caucus is not far behind by virtue of their decision to keep Santos seated.
While what you say about Schiff the false narrative is said to be true by many, Santos does not pale in comparison. Today, Santos is the star of the show. More than any other House member, and even more than the Speaker, Santos dominates the news. Santos is anything but pale. His embarrassing and hypocritical ways and deeds are in full view, in radiant full color.

Santos didn't sleep with a Chinese spy like Eric swalwell did nor did he fake evidence of text messages between mark meadows and matt gaetz like Adam Schiff did.
Some have blind spot when their side does it. Or willingly look the other way. Nothing to see here and move along.
I mean, is Joe Biden not “the big guy” that was getting the 10 percent skim from his son Hunter?
