The Trump Card...

The thing with his taxes isnt that he is doing something wrong, the problem is the rules. Im sure he showed lots of income that is cancelled out by losses in years past. Just like anyone of us, we will use the rules to pay as little in taxes as we can, but people like Trump have way more ways to play with the rules to pay no tax.

The whole thing with the capital gains thing needs to go away, If buying and selling properties is how you make your money, then its your primary income and should be taxed accordingly.

The bigger problem is that there are a lot of rich people who believe since they employ people who pay taxes they shouldnt be required to pay themselves.

The concentration of wealth continues.....

And many Democrats don't pay taxes....

Again, Once Again, Trump-Appointed Judges Don't Help Trump

A few days ago, it was about Trump's tax returns. This time it's about Trump's (actually the United States's) Mar-a-Lago documents. Same result. Trump-appointed judges rule against Trump.

"The decision was a unanimous opinion from the panel of Republican appointees, including two who were selected by Trump. In it, the court rejected each argument by Trump and his attorneys for why a special master was necessary, including his claims that various seized records were protected by attorney-client privilege or executive privilege."

No, Trump does not have attorney-client privilege in this case.
No, Trump does not have executive privilege in this case.
No, Trump is not entitled to a special master in this case.
And, Yes, DOJ may proceed with its investigation unfettered by an errant Judge Cannon.

It could be argued that Trump-appointed Judge Cannon helped Trump by agreeing that a special master should be appointed, but she was soundly reversed by the unanimous ruling of the appeals court panel, consisting of three Republican judges, two of which are Trump-appointed.

Major defeat for Trump
Major repudiation for Cannon
Major victory for the rule of law

Right, because they dont earn enough to be required to pay taxes. If the system was not so lopsided so that the rich stay rich and the poor stay poor, more people would be able to earn enough to pay taxes.
Sounds like the remedy is an America First policy that Trump espouses.

More about the 11th Circuit ruling and Judge Cannon:

"All of [the judges on the panel] agreed that Trump-appointed U.S. District Judge Aileen Cannon did not have jurisdiction to hear Trump’s case, let alone issue a sweeping ruling forbidding federal authorities from using thousands of seized files in an ongoing criminal investigation pending the completion of a special master’s review. The 11th Circuit’s ruling voids the special master process in its entirely, ..."

"Accordingly, we agree with the government that the district court [Cannon] improperly exercised equitable jurisdiction, and that dismissal of the entire proceeding is required.

"The district court improperly exercised equitable jurisdiction in this case. For that reason, we VACATE the September 5 order on appeal and REMAND with instructions for the district court to DISMISS the underlying civil action."

More Searches to Come?

With the legality of the Mar-a-Lago search upheld and the 11th Circuit's ruling utterly repudiating all arguments Trump made in this case, and with some documents still missing, might DOJ be inclined to show probable cause and seek warrants to search other Trump properties; namely, Trump Tower and Trump's Bedminister buildings and grounds?

Additional Thought About 11the Circuit Ruling

With this ruling, Trump has lost every legal argument he made against the Mar-a-Lago search and related DOJ investigation. This defeat is decisive and clear. And he did not lose in a blue zip code to a jury some might say have an anti-MAGA bias. He lost in a conservative appeals court in a red state, before a panel of three Republican judges, two of whom were appointed by Trump himself.

Trump did not lose because a jury said he lost. he lost because the law still matters and, in this case, the law is not on his side. While his maneuver to bring a corrupt, activist, MAGA-biased judge into the picture created a bit of a detour for the DOJ, it did not stop the investigation. Nor did it stop Trump's legal accountability before the special master he himself picked.

Regarding that corrupt judge (Aileen Cannon) she now faces possible disciplinary actions within the judiciary, and she is forever branded not as a fair judge but as a biased judge who is untethered by the law.

As I said above, this is a major victory for the rule of law. It's also a victory over the bad-faith defend, deny, and delay tactics Trump has burdened the courts with in the past.

Great day! Great day indeed!

Interesting poll results find Trump ahead in hypothetical GOP '24 primary. Although the headline is about Trump's lead, the glaring tidbit is that DeSantis is only six points back and hasn't even thrown his hat in the ring. Should he decide to do so, he'd be a breath of fresh air when voters are allowed to compare him to Trump and the ongoing soap opera that surrounds him. Maybe Trump fatigue among conservatives and moderates has already begun.

Did you know that the Dems will SATANIZE DeSantis if he becomes the nominee, like Trump? Dems are trying it already in Florida. Unfortunately for them, Florida is a very red state now so they are SOL there.

They'll trash the Republican candidate no matter who it might be. Unfortunately, Trump makes himself an easy target by his own actions and quotes. The Democrats also have the mainstream and social media as willing accomplices in their nefarious efforts.

For one, punish them for hiring illegals. That is a form of greed by them. Cheap labor at the expense of American workers that bare the brunt of lower wages due to the influx.
Totally agree, I have said before, fine them 10k per day per person for anyone who is not legally allowed to work in this country.
