While ive heard the news about fuel prices and plants going to mexico and huricanes effecting the refineries. I havent yet heard anything about the shopping malls closing up. I haul rail frieght in and out of Kansas city. I see at least 5 shopping malls that have gone out of business in the last year or so. I suppose the business has been taken up by Wal Mart or the dollar store or something. But the megaplexes where the malls where, the movie houses closed up, mega plexes, 10 screens, places like Aplebees, hangng on when the malls closed and then going under too. in Cedar Rapids Ia the Westdale shoping center, you could roll a bowling ball down the center of the thing, a major store on both ends and in the middle nothin. Whats happenin to America?
