Tethering a cell phone to a desktop

Is there a way to tether a straight talk cell phone with internet capability to a desk top computer so that it will be able to access the internet?

is it a droid or blackberry...i am tethred to my desktop @ home now using my droid with easy tether..
works real well..

We haven't gotten the phone yet. We are looking at the Nokia E5 or Samsung T528G.

Get a droid and easy teather (or PDA net) you will have to pay for either of them if you want to access sites with https://

Also with prepaid know that unlimited is in fact limited. 2 gigs is the magic number for most. After that they will drop you like a bad habit.

You will also need a data cable for your phone. Most times the cable for the charger will work. Sometimes you have to buy one (not a big deal. Just check before you leave the store so you can buy one while your there if needed)
