When Owner Operators provide their own Cargo Insurance instead of the Motor Carrier, it’s usually on a Scheduled Auto basis.

This means that each Owner Operator could be insuring the Cargo for far less than the amount listed on the Motor Carrier’s Certificate that was given to the Load Provider.
