Heard on the radio this morning: Teenage babysitter was in the back yard watching three young children. When she spotted a bear approaching the children she scooped them and ran into the house only to be followed.

Locked the door and the bear began ripping the frame apart and broke the glass, thus this young GIRL with a Bear Hunting Permit (otherwise PITA would have sued her) she grabbed a 7mm and shot the Bear Dead. Thus PROVING GUNS DO SAVE LIFES........ When used in the right hands with the correct training. Just think there is a little sunshine on those young girls in PA yes it is a shame but FOUR young people are ALIVE cause some parent had enough commonsense to teach there DAUGHTER how to use a firearm and not be afraid to use it when necessary.

In the State of N.C. not one single, not a one Under Cover Gun Permit user has ever been charged for an accidentle shooting or crime.

Statistically law enforcement officers are over 2 times more likely to shoot the wrong party in a confrontation than a licensed CHL holder. CHL holders also undergo a more extensive background check than some law enforcement candidates. Many of us are better trained than law enforcement officers as well, spending more personal time and money on training and practice than is afforded the LEO through their department. We CHL holders, as well as many many citizens not licensed for concealed carry, use our firearms approximately one million times annually to stop a criminal or stop a potentially illegal situation. The media rarely reports it because it's counter to their anti-gun agenda. Liberals would rather take the guns away and have the potentially one million additional crimes than adequately punish those who misuse inanimate objects. It's an unfortunate and rather hopeless situation in that the liberals refuse to acknowledge the big picture and focus only on the incredibly small percentage of misuse.

I think you miss a very important point.

Many of the pro-gun control people don't understand or want to understand the cause and effect of removing weapons from society - all they know is that people kill using guns - hence guns are the cause of people killing.

If they would study history, like our founding fathers did, they would find that an unarmed population is one that is easely controlled and easely subjigated.
