Hi-
Our company is switching over to Sylectus. I didn't know this until yesterday. In the meantime, I've already ordered a new phone last week because mine is starting to go south.
I currently have a motorola i-576 phone. I'm also on a Sprint data plan that we need for work. Last year when I got this phone, Sprint told me that I was paying for a lot of services that my phone couldn't make use of. Since I needed the direct connect feature for work, they pretty much said "ok, if ya need direct connect, that's the phone. You're still on a limited phone."
I recently found a Motorola Android Admiral that has Direct Connect. The representative at Sprint told me it could do everything the Motorola i-576 could do. Plus it had things like we could tether our computer to the phone for internet on the road. There were other features too, though it was sort of technical & I don't recall them all.
They mentioned the Nextel network was going to be taken down, so I'd probably need a new phone anyway. I didn't realize when she told me that, that our company was in the process of needing new phones.
So yesterday I find out from our company we're switching to Sylectus. They suggested getting a Kyocera Dura Core, Dura Plus, or DuraXT. So I called Sprint again wondering if the Android Admiral could do everything the Kyocera's could.
Unfortunately when I called Sprint today, the girl wasn't nearly as knowledgeable as the one last week. She was nice enough, but I spent an hour with her saying "let me check" & putting me on hold to pretty much any question I had.
What I'm wondering here is does anyone know if the Android Admiral can do all the things the Kyocera can? Also, is it compatable w/ Sylectus?
My Android is still in the box. I didn't want to open it if it's not compatible w/ Sylectus.
Thanx in advance,
Danny
