Summer Auto Plant Shut down

My company is not really big hauling automotive, but last year around the 4th of July, I made a good cut, despite all warnings from fellow drivers. After that, I averaged half of what I usually make for 2 weeks. This week already started out :censoredsign:ty and so it will be next week from what I can tell. Gas prices are a major factor, too. My corner gas station in my hometown just raised their price to $2.31/gal. I almost got a heart attack this past Monday. Good luck to you and everyone else!

I was told at orientation that the big 3 stagger their vacation times over a month. I think I would rather have two bad weeks, and prepare for them by taking a vacation, than have 4 weeks of so-so freight. Fortunately for me, and others who don't mess with automotive, July will be as busy as it gets.
