Stir Crazy in KC!!

Just sittin here at the Ameristar Casino in Kansas City, bored out of my mind. Although we are 1st team out on the board, I am getting a little ancy! We had a great week, gratefully! Now we have been stopped dead in our tracks by a town that I used to think was pretty decent for freight. Is it still? Did alot of you expediters go home for the holiday? Sorry, just killing some time on here.

i drive a sprinter and was there for a few days over the weekend 3 weeks ago. i stayed at the petro on hwy 70 i think exit 28 pretty decent place it even has a movie theatre upstairs.. got a load to the oklahoma panhandle, then dh back to kc, on sunday got a load to allison,nebraska, dropped there and did another dh to mile marker 305 on I-80 and from there went to minneapolis, dropped and waited 1 day. picked up and delivered just inside the ohio border where i got on the ft wayne board....kc isnt a bad place to sit, but if you take a load farther west you are on your own..

You're as likely to get stuck in KC for the weekend as you are anywhere else. Don't sweat it. Kansas is usually pretty good for freight, and Missouri is usually very good. Of course, that depends on which company you're with. My guess is you'll be out of there on Tuesday at the latest.
