Modot.com Construction will begin the weekend of Nov 2-4 on a major I-70 Missouri river bridge between St Louis county and St Charles county some 168,000 vehicles use the bridge each day. 2 lanes will be closed in each direction and lanes will be reduced to only 10 ft wide with no shoulders. The west bound bridge built in 1958 is in need of major work which is expected to take 1 year to complete. Motorists should avoid the area as much as possible and expect long traffic delays

Update The construction has started and now instead of 10 lanes on 2 bridges you now have 6 narrow lanes on 1 bridge and there are no shoulders going thru the construction. To avoid the I-70 construction take I-64 or Hwy 370
