I'd like to know how Sprinter drivers are doing out there? Are you making money, getting loads, is this van comfortable, fuel efficient, winter driving??
Any info, you care to give.

I've talked to a few Sprinter owners. The claimed mileage at 22-24 mpg seems to hold up pretty well with what these guys tell me. One who is leased to Tri-State told me he had a 2700 lb skid for his heaviest load at that time. He says there was no difference in the way the van drove, accelerated, or braked and that mileage was roughly the same with this load as is was empty.

we really like ours, get about 25 mpgs, haul as much as 5,000 lbs in it regularly. it makes killer profit due to low fuel/insurance overhead

Can anyone tell us or me what the longevity of the sprinter is? Is this van going to hold up with the high speed road miles that we put on our vans? How often does this break down, and how much do the replacement parts cost, compared to the Chevy or Ford? What was done about the 15” tires? I know guys that ran Chevy/GMC and accumulated well over 500k miles with minimal repairs (NO major repairs needed).

Gee Tony with the Sprinter being such a new thing I think longivity would be a wait and see issue for the time being?

And gooly gee Andy, I was passing a Dodge dealer just north of Woodhaven MI, last week and lo and behold I sees this Ram Van made up like a Sprinter almost a clone! But I didn't stop to check it out darn!

the sprinter is being sold by select dodge truck dealers now. It is called a "Dodge Sprinter" . The only thing different is the badging. The Dodge price is about 1800 cheaper, though, if you know someone.

If you go to http:\\www.dodge.com/sprinter, you can get all the info on the DODGE Sprinter. They will make one anyway you desire including with duals in the back, if that suits anyones' fancy. Prices on the website says starts at 27 thousand and change.:7 :7 :7

Other than some early teething problems with EGR valves, the Sprinters are holding up fairly well in the USA. It's not new, and has proven itself in Europe for many years.
It just can't find a friend as far as reputable dealers go in the USA. That has been my big question on repair or parts costs compared to the domestic jobs.
Mercedes dealers obviously didn't want it sold or serviced at their dealerships, van buyers don't like dealing with Freightliner big truck dealerships, so that leaves it to the Dodge dealerships and shops, who are now looking at this thing like it's from another planet. I test drove one, and it is very impressive. But, go to Freightliner dealers and look up the costs of some basic replacement parts- they should roll out the red carpet for you! Would you like some caviar with those brake rotors sir? Places like NAPA or Parts America don't stock Sprinter parts yet.
So, the trouble is we have a great diesel van that needs more friends, and it is built in the USA, so it is now a domestic van. FedEx Express was a major player in bringing it over here, and now UPS is using them, so in a year or two they might be on par with the Ford or Chevy vans as far as acceptance.
