Sprinter Antifreeze

Pulled in to a dealer in Baton Rouge for a B service on Sat. I decided also it was time for a rad flush and rear end fluid change. I asked the service adviser if all the fluids they use are Mercedes fluids. Yes, he replied.

All the work was completed. The antifreeze that was in there, factory original, was pink. They put in green. G48 is the number on the invoice.

Now I know on any other vehicle, that could be bad news. Anyone with experience on this. 2011 model.

I'll be calling the dealer in the AM to find out more. Stupid me didn't check it while I was there. Was in a hurry to get to Tire King for tire rotation and balance.

Thanks

I think I have it figured out. G48 meets Mercedes no 325 for antifreeze replacement. So I guess color doesn't apply here. But, I'll still be making that call tomorrow.

On some or the google specs it says pre 95 for certain vehiles like Audi.

In 700,000 miles no rad flush for me....

I do the trans and rear end at same time...appears that works ...original rear end still

Come on now that's a little more complete than a flush.

Let me word this a little clearer.... The rad that I changed out with the new engine never had a flush done in its lifetime. Chuckle chuckle

Well you guys know me when it comes to maintenance. I don't go by the book. I stay ahead of the book. Nothing like good clean fluids. Cheap insurance.

doing trans and rear end together even tho its early for the Rear to be done...it is easier to keep track of...and it is not that expensive to get done....and considering I am on the original rear axle after all these miles....it is proving itself out to be a good thing...
