Are all expediting Companies SLOW?

I have been running solo since Jan. 3, 2005 and have found the freight very slow. I realize that Jan. and Feb. age generally slow in this industry, but is everyone experiencing this? When will it pick up?

Swish, the freight picture should start turning the corner right about now, gradually increasing into peak season. Keep in mind that in the expediting game sometimes it's all location just like real estate. If you are in the right place at the right time it's gonna "feel" busy no matter where you are at. Learn your company's methods of operations and where their freight tends to come from, and you can start to improve your odds on being in the the right place at the right time. Be proactive in positioning yourself instead of reacting to where the freight takes you. After a while you will develop your own system - that's when expediting starts to REALLY be fun.
