Should we be watching our neighbors?

Al Qaeda magazine hints of looming attack; urges bombing of Vegas, military targets | Fox News Ok, lets assume now, the bad guys so to speak are everywhere. Do we as citizens need to be watching our own backs? Hey, the police,the Feds cannot be everywhere. Our homeland security maybe in our own hands at the moment---your loved ones and mine could be next .

Everybody is responsible for their own safety. To assume that the police, or the "feds" can protect you from everything, and everyone, who may want to harm you is absurd.

It is wise for everyone to be aware of their surroundings at all times. Awareness is the first line of defense a person has.

What steps one may choose to defend ones self is a personal choice.

There are more attacks coming. Will they come with participation from my or your neighbor? The odds are greater that they won't than that they will. Will they come with participation from someone's neighbor? Guaranteed. So maybe being aware and paying attention isn't a bad idea.
