Should I file two separate Schedule C's or one?

We are a married couple who get two separate 1099 MISC forms. The question is what is the best way to file? Should we use two separate Schedule C's so we can take advantage of the per diem? Is it beneficial to file as a partnership? What are the benefits? Can I file this way this year?

Anyone know of any good tax software for truckers? Thanks:)

As far as the 2 sch C"s the answer is yes, What Company do you or leased on to. Normally they make out the 1099 to the Husband only where he takes all the other deductions on the truck and the wife takes the per diem plus some personal truck expenses.

I do not know who is going to do your return but there are other items that can be deducted on both besides the per diem.
there is no benefit to filing as a partnership as husband and wife at the present time, Use it as a Sole proprietorship first then See if this if want this as a Career for the rest of your life then decide on an LLC First, witht the election of filing it as a "S" Corp/

There are a few but they are very expensive and are geared for a Fleets. The least expense one basically is Truckerhelper.com i am not sure if it is available at some ot the truckstops anymore. but you can check. or just go online to test a DEMO the one I recomend is the O/O version.
