First off this site is the wrong one to be bringing that type of info to. Secondly the newbie section is the last place to put any type of carrier info on. IF you were on the right type of trucking forum and it were me looking I would be going to the more experienced forum not the newbie forum. This site is more of a teach and learn forum in the expediting sector of the trucking industry. Expediting is more of an on demand pick up and deliver now thing and you are not going to find any expediting carriers cheap.
Sounds like you are asking someone (a carrier) to give you 2 trailers (Boxes) to leave 1 in MI and 1 in AR, then when they get loaded ( you give no time frame) bring you 2 more and swap out. You don’t include what is being loaded, or where it is being delivered and what the mileage and/or time frame is. It also sounds like you need someone with a flatbed or a container trailer, or is it someone with a container too? to load out of KC, and deliver to a ship yard?
2 of the most important things when hiring someone to deliver your goods are WHEN, WHERE and HOW MUCH DOES IT PAY. Okay 3 things! You started of by saying you are a Sm. Bus. owner. Then you went off and disclosed that you have 3 customers needing trucks. May I ask, do you have a brokers authority? If not how is it you are brokering loads without one? (I don’t want to know, but am just pointing this out to you) You may want to contact a broker to do this for you. If you are in need of one I would be glad to give you the name of a very good one . Email me if you want this info. Or you may want to contact a carrier that can handle all your needs and give him all the facts up front.
I got a kick out of the comment you made. ” I need these trailors (trailers with an E) and containers available to me, to load at will and in a time frame which corresponds with my other activities” then you go on and call this simple needs. Like a trucking company has trailers and boxes laying around waiting on you!!! NO!!! you are not being simple, and you are not being practical either.
Suggestions:
You may want to have your people do their thing and when you have a truck load ready to go, give someone a call or put the load on a load board (there is one on this site) and ship it out that way. Do it like this each time and save all those other headaches it is causing you. You may be short on space and need the trailers to use as storage. Then go rent 1 or 2 trailers.
Edited after I went to your site and see what you are doing. Now I see why you are asking what you are, or I think I do. They get, they fill, and you buy!!! not a bad idea Dave. Why don't you invest in some second hand (used) trailers and/or a tractor to pull them from place to place. This site has a very good classified section and there are lots of trucks in it for sale.
Hey Dave!!! GOOD LUCK!!!
