Has anybody heard of this "service " ? BREAKTHROUGH™FUEL Todd Dills , Senior Editor of "Truckers News" and "Overdrive" was asking me about it . He said O/O's have told him carriers are giving them lower surcharges and using this system as an excuse . I'm not sure how it works but it doesn't look good . If you know anything about it Todd would appreciate the input . [email protected] (Todd is also looking for ideas on articles for "Truckers News" and "Overdive" so contact him if you have any good suggestions . )

Last fleet I managed I had sales pitches like this all the time. They come in and "teach" you how to buy fuel and "consult" for the low low price of 10 to 30 thousand a year.

Unless you are a complete idiot and fill your 500 truck fleet up at the full serve Mobil downtown they can't save you anywhere close to the "fee".

The scary thing is outfits like this are now marketing themselves to shippers "so they don't get gouged by un required fuel surcharges".

All the uncertainty about fuel prices brings these vultures out of the forest.

BTW, "un required" fuel surcharges? I spit my coffe out this morning when I passed an Esso (Exxon) and it was selling diesel for $1.269 a liter.

That's $4.80 a US gallon. HOLY S@%T!!!!
