Once I had an roadside inspection by IL STATE POLICE heading into Quincy IL which is a bad area for these guys and I was stopped and they looked and looked and finally he says I see some SCUFFS on your airlines, those are defective, now the scuffs were nothing more then mud, I took pictures and went to court as the LEO was not gonna stop writing once he had started, I wnt to court, had him appear, took the section of air line off my truck, had pictures and showed the judge who said QUOTE...THIS IS MUD ITS NOT A DEFECT, and then proceeded to read the LEO the riot act as his Father was a trucker.....Most times Ive been inspected Ive seen them go under the truck, never heard any beating, banging but did see him measure and compare the brake chamber rods etc....Ive not come across any rude guys but very business like, after telling one scalhouse I had just had my truck through the yearly DOT, And it had been roadsised by another TN trooper he said, IT WILL PASS NOW TOO..and proceeded to write me a good inspection......being a small company with a good CSA record I dunno maybe they figure I got my quota IM OUT...
