Save Money On Fuel

The DieselBoss web site has been mentioned in the forum before. Just thought I'd mention it again for those that may not yet know of it. Here's the link:

http://www.dieselboss.com/fuel.htm

Just now used it while sitting still in rush hour traffic in Dallas. Traffic now at a standstill due to a truck rollover and fire here. We've been sitting here two hours now. Used DieselBoss to plan our next fuel stop and found a $0.20 per gallon price difference along our route in Texas. Just saved ourselves about $20.00 on a 100 gallon purchase. Do that ten times a month and the savings quickly add up.

In fuel cost savings alone, the price of Internet access from your truck can more than pay for itself.

Were you sitting because of the T/T crash under I-45 on I-20? My girlfriend called me and told me about that crash. I was lucky to miss that. I drove through there on my way to Michigan at 6:00 AM Eastern on May 24.

I got to Memphis, and there was a T/T fire there on I-40 West and a Swift driver crossed over the median from I-40 East to I-40 south just before I got there.

Yesterday was a great day for crashes, it seems.

This has also been mentioned before but if you fuel at a Speedway , buy gift certificates . They work at the pay at the pump and give you a $2 per $50 discount .

Yes, that was it. Here's the link to the news story and news photo.

http://www.nbc5i.com/traffic/4526916/detail.html

We saw the smoke from a distance and later crept through the area after the fire had burned out. It was a three-hour traffic jam for us with no alternative exits or routes available. I snapped a photo when we got to the scene. Nothing left but a burned-out frame of a tractor and trailer.

Fortunately, the driver made it out OK (at least as OK as could be expected given the circumstances).
