Savanna Replacement Mirrors

Driver called this morning and he's busted the drivers side OEM camper mirror, its the long ones on a 14' cutaway van - $565 replacement cost. This being his third one in 27 months I don't see myself replacing it with the OEM ones. I found these Retrac mirriros, two of them would be less than half - any thoughts on if they will fit ok? Or other ideas?

PS - 2007 model if it matters, and is there a blanking plate if the stock ones are removed?

Man, my only thought would be how has he managed to do it three times? Looks like he'd have learned after the second time for sure even if not the first. Good luck.

You'd think - I haven't actually seen it yet. The story so far is an oversize load/construction truck clipped it while at a stop light - broke two others with the previous owners truck.

I think you can get a piece to cover where the stock mirror was, at least I've seen them with west coast mirrors on them and they have a piece that covered the stock location.
