CALL-TO-ACTION - NJ

Yesterday, the U.S. Senate Appropriations committee debated and amended legislation to provide supplemental funding for operations in Iraq and Afghanistan as well as funding for several other matters.

Thousands of truckers like you called Senators who serve on that committee to demand that they support an amendment to that legislation that puts the brakes on the DOT's Mexican trucking pilot program.

The Senators took notice and voted unanimously to pass the Mexican trucking amendment! You and your fellow truckers truly made a difference!

RE: .S. Senate Appropriations committee says no to

If that is the same legislation that contained all the pork bribes to get the soldiers out of Iraz, then forget about it. It won't pass in the Senate and the President will veto it.

If it is a separate bill, then great going.
