Curious if this is an anomaly, or have others enjoyed similar experiences at a Rush truck center
1. Rush in San Antonio Texas , went in for an oil change and transmission fluid change (Auto_Tranny)
Rush charged 330 for 30 minute tranny drain, then filled me with 4 gallons and not the required 8, so the thing would work only not well.
2. Rush in Riverside Ca, needed inspection for FECC and peace of mind
mechanic said things were broken which weren't, Lights etc. Mainly user error. Screwed my form up - service writer told me to fix lights come back for another inspection. Resolved after I came aprt on the phone.
3. Rush in Tulsa Oklahoma - Needed Oil change and hub seal for front wheel, told now sweat were are busy but if you wait we will get it done after lunch - it was about 10 am.
At 6 PM was told "O were sorry, we don't have your oil filter in stock
also we don't have the hub seal either"
The good news was "well get the hub seal in about a week but the filters we will have in the morning"
I was kept waiting 8 hours to be told we don't have the parts.
I then said "ok I can't wait a week and I guess I'll get my oil changed somewhere else, just bring my truck around"
their answer was "Yes Sir we are terribly sorry for the inconvenience"
I put myself back in service and was dispatched on a run almost immediately.
So I went to the service counter and said "Guys I just got a run I need my truck"
I was sort of grunted at, and the guys behind the counter continued talking to each other.
"Hey, I need my truck the one that sais FEDEX, we do time sensitive freight, I need to go, those are my keys right their just toss them here and I'll got get it"
This got the reply, "Let my bring up your bill"
10 minutes later the guy hands me a bill for $132.00
they had gone ahead and changed the fuel filter even though they couldn't do they oil change. Needless to say I protested to no avail
and had to pay the extortion to fee to get my truck back.
They charged me $85 dollars for a part that sells for $35 everywhere else the balance of the bill was labor.
Anyway I had no choice, I paid,
But wait there's more, after I leave Rush's lot heading down the freeway I hear a rattle in the cab - Rush had screwed up my airbag dump valve. Upon closer inspection I notice fresh screw driver marks where they had popped the knob off, they didn't tighten the retaining nut at all when they put it back together, and they chewed the heads of some other screws up behind the dash. I fixed the rattle easy enough.
But for the life of me I can't figure out why they were screwing with my air bag dump valve in the first place!!!!
So there's my Rush Truck center stories. By the way truck is only 7 months old those are my three Rush truck center stories, I won't have a forth since I won't be going back to any RUSH
