Just to update I went online and applied for a new card as mine had expired in 2001, but was still being honored. So I applied for a new one and I received this email in reply:
We are in the process of changing how the Road Warrior program works. At this time we will not be sending out any further Road Warrior cards. To receive the discount at the travel plazas you will simply need to show your old Road Warrior card. If you no longer have your card, you may show your CDL and request the Road Warrior discount. Old cards and CDLs are being honored at all HMS locations.
The estimated start for the new program is spring 2007. When the new program starts you will be able to enroll at the Travel Plazas. Since it is a brand new program and we are changing the way it works, we are unable to keep your name on file to send you an enrollment form when it starts. You will need to go to a Travel Plaza to pick up the enrollment form once the new program has begun.
