REPOST.. GIVIN it a go….
My wife and I both drive a big truck and wish to make the move to a smaller more consolidated package. We both have 9 yrs as commercial drivers. What size box is recommended, weight limit recommended, axils, and so on. As we have been teaming in a relatively small sleeper without many of the amenities that would make life easier for my wife, I have agreed to spend a BIT more and get the 120,000†sleeper with whatever straight truck we get. We are willing to stay out for 4 to 6 weeks at a time. She’s Canadian; I’m American with Canadian residency. How is freight at this time? I tried to post a link to the truck we would like to buy, but my post was canned. This is the truck.

It seems to be a slow time in the business overall. Everything has taken a slowdown. This does not mean it's dead. I'm still doing not bad, down a little but still working.

The usually companies like K-Dac and Dec and Dynamex are keeping their straights running although I've been getting different reports as to ok or slow.

By the by the truck sounds good... so I hope you're on with someone good and make bucks. Remember to keep in contact with dispatch and make them aware you're alive and ready (don't ove do though).

Good luck Rob Fis

Thanks for the heads up Rob. And the info. We just want to start out proper and with a bang.

We thought a truck with a few more home comforts would pay off in the long run.

Thanks again,

Colin

I have not heard from a single Husband/Wife team in a straight truck that they are slow.

Please let us know what you decide.

I hate the country, all those animals walking around un-cooked.
