In Class A CDL trucking, you can start out in otr work and then go to regional/dedicated work with experience.
I am wondering if there is regional work for a Class B with Hazmat, I haven't been able to find that much. It seems like there is only otr jobs for vans and straight trucks if you want any money out of it.
I don't want inter city work either, but would like the option to in time settle down into regional work.
I actually wonder if it would be smart to just upgrade myself to a Class A CDL now and do some otr rather than in a cargo van or straight truck, with the knowledge that a few years down the road I could get a regional route.
Are there regional straight truck jobs/companies?
P.S. There are a lot of local courier jobs advertised, I know, but they are inter city and pay crap.
