I must be badly out of shape; took me3 days to install e-track and a bed in the Promaster. Of course, that included at least one unscheduled trip to Lowe's (btw, Ntime, I found the hooks Home Depot didn't have)

I'd set max weight at 3000; so far, two runs have each weighed 2700+ lbs. On the second of same, down to Old Virginny.

What do you think of setting weight at 2,000 and see how busy they keep you? Less weight would lead to longer life? Just a thought.

I would counter at 2500 approx myself....3,000 was my absolute top drawer only if in a jam and it could be there slowly and NO mountains.....keep in mind my million plus, low cost on maintance miles sprinter....there is a payoff...less shop time = less downtime which = $$$ as well....
Best of luck and enjoy....

I'll add my 2 cents Harry. I agree with OVM, 2500 should be your max and only if 2 skids. One heavy skid is too much for 1 axle. If they offer you multiple skids UNDER 3000# and the roads are all relatively straight/flat interstate, then should be OK

I know Xmudman hauls for the multi carriers... different needs for different brokers i am sure ..

I own/drive Promasters ... i think 3000 lbs is top of the weight limit in these ...
If loaded properly and Driven properly .. heaviest skid/skids ahead of rear axle and strapped and etrac blocked down is great... I have helped with ideas for xmudman and he had ideas to mix in for a solution that works for him .. plus he put in a bed area for him and Wife ..nice
