Qualcom Question

I intended to ask about Qualcom on a recent thread but seemed to go South so here is a new QC thread.

I drive a C/V for Panther and have had the same used QC unit for 3 years. I have noticed of late that it sometimes holds my reply for 10 to 30 minutes when I accept a load offer even though the "no signal" light is NOT lit. This creates the need to call them (yawn) to get the correct deadhead miles as it does not start until they finally receive my reply. I could just sit and wait for their acknowledgement to come back on the QC but this is not always best.
Do other companies QC units operate the same? This dated Capt. Kirk technology costs me about $2000 a year. Is any other carrier using anything better?

Like Turtle I am also a speed limit so please be gentle, elder abuse is a crime.

It sounds like you might need a new one, any of the ones I have used go through right away.

Does this delay always happen when accepting a load offer or is it intermittent? Try unscrewing the cable coupling from the antenna, wait about 60 seconds and reconnect it. This action reboots the internal antenna stuff according to a Panther QC dude. It worked for me.

It is intermittent. Thanks for the rebooting tip.
