When you punch in instant message 6 on the QC, driver status, then punch 8, "O/S Friday pick up for Mon delivery", what does that mean? Does it mean you are available to pu a load and baby sit til Mon AM, or does it mean you have a load for the whole week end? If you have a load, why would you want to be O/S? Thanks.

It means you are out of service but would accept a load that picks up Friday and delivers wherever on Monday. Theoretically refusals don't count against you if it doesn't meet that criteria. Theoretically you only get offers with long miles since there's all weekend to deliver them. Realisticallyyou sometimes get things to work this way and sometimes you get passed over by newbie dispatchers or whatever and miss out on a load.
