Q for Panther Folks

I would post this in the Panther subforum, but it's so quiet down there (I miss the old days of the busy EO forum!).

Can anyone explain "protect service"? I hear that phrase tossed around but I'm not sure what it is. It's evidently something drivers ask for when negotiating loads.

And is it only a Panther thing?

Are you taking about bonuses? If so, this means that the bonus is yours regardless of any changes. For instance, if you get a relocation bonus that bonus will be taken away if you get a load offer prior to relocating. With a secure bonus, you would still receive all bonus $$$. Now, I’m a newbie, so I’m sure someone has more accurate info than me but this is my understanding.
