In Texas, when you use a icc practioner to apply for your authority the process agents are included in their fee (usually $500.00 - $1000.00). I obtained my authority in 1997. I spent approx. $3500.00 on everything. That included authority, down payment for insurance, single state registration, apportioned plates, bmc-19 filing fee, IFTA registration, business cards and invoicing software. Hope this helps.
