I hope this is the right forum for this.
I'm thinking of buying a 5.9L V8 Dodge Ram 1500 4WD pickup, but the horrible gas mileage scares me. It's listed as 11 city/15 highway. I need to squeeze out at least a couple more mpg before I can consider this. I'd like to find a V6, but they apparently don't come this way.
I once came across mechanical tips to increase gas mileage. I'm talking about more than keeping one's tires inflated, the engine tuned, and driving conservatively; These were actual parts replacements. One of them had something to do with adding a cold air intake, but that's all I remember. So what can I do, and how much money are we talking about to pull it off?
