Spoke with Direct TV today, they now offer Direct PC. The number to call for info and to purchase is 1-800-347-3272. They offer a Direct PC Modem Dish for $150, also a combined Direct TV and Direct PC MOdem Dish for $300. These are slightly larger dishes, they are 21" dishes. Direct PC is $40 per month unlimted and they also offer lower hourly limited price monthly service. This may be the answer for our PNV problem. The access speed is 400kbps which is 14x the speed of 28.8 modems and makes 56.6 speed unbelievably fast.Hope this is helpful to some of you, we know we are looking forward to it. i could be wrong -- i'll be checking, later -- but isn't this strictly for DOWNloads? In order to UPload (connect your computer to the internet), you'll still need some sort of phone connection. i personally believe it's a conspiracy on the part of PNV to keep us down! ;-)

From everything I can find on internet, type in search for direct pc...find info, it is full internet access. They can give you that info at the 800# I listed. If so it will be better than PNV as we don't always like to sit at truck stops and be plugged in.
